Legislative Affairs

The SJECCD Board of Trustees External Affairs Committee is primarily responsible for developing the Board's legislative agenda and Bill Support List in support of SJECCD’s Board Ends Policies. Among other responsibilities, the committee assists the full Board in monitoring, analyzing, and effectively managing legislative and public policy trends, issues, and risks. The committee develops recommendations to the Board with regard to formulating and adopting policies, programs, and advocacy strategy.

Current committee members are: Board President Tony Alexander (Chair), and Trustee Maria Fuentes, and Trustee Marsha Grilli.
