Overview
The Warehouse Department is dedicated to providing professional services to support the academic process and goals of the Colleges. This is accomplished by providing timely and efficient customer service in the area of Shipping/Receiving, Inventory Control, and Materials Management.
Warehouse Responsibilities:
- Receiving and distribution of materials purchased by the District and Campus.
- Coordinating the return of incorrect or damaged materials if necessary.
- Coordinating the disposition of surplus equipment, including pick up, sale, or disposal.
- Maintaining records storage of confidential material and records

Surplus Property Available
Per AP 6550, the District may sell for cash any District personal property if the property is not required for District purposes, or if it should be disposed of for the purpose of replacement, or if it is unsatisfactory or not suitable for use.
The District may have surplus items for sale to the public. If available, surplus items will be listed on the Public Surplus website. Go to the link below to see a listing of available surplus items for sale by the District.

Document Management
For Iron Mountain document storage, document retrieval, and banker box/RFID label (material) requests, access the District Warehouse Work Request Portal here:

Login with your District email address and password, and then choose submit a Warehouse Request.
Please note this storage facility is intended for District-level administrative documents under Fiscal, Purchasing, and HR. For Campus-level documents, please work with your respective Campus and applicable policies.
Surplus Detail
To request the disposal of surplus equipment, complete the Surplus Disposal Request Form below. The department must ensure surplus property has exhausted it's useful life and is not required for District purposes. Forms must be completed with the appropriate approvals or your disposal request will be denied. Email completed forms to: DO-Warehouse@sjeccd.edu
